Motivational Interviewing Conference in Cardiff

Have just come raring back from the 2012 Cardiff Motivational Interviewing Conference.... and I’m feeling very motivated!

Bill Miller led the day with Steve Rollnick, a rare opportunity to work with both the founders of Motivational Interviewing together.

It has been a while since I’ve had an opportunity of seeing Steve speak again but it was the first chance I’d ever had to work directly with Bill.

Apart from reviewing old ground, participants also got a glimpse of some of the new ideas which will be fully expressed in their new edition of Motivational Interviewing that's coming out this summer.

Keep your eyes peeled for it.

In the meantime, if you're looking for MI training either as an individual or in-house, get in touch with us and we can guarantee we'll offer you a stimulating and practical experience that will definitely change your practice.

  3. Hi Paul

Do you have any training coming to Portsmouth. The sessions you facilitated in Gunwharf were amazing!

    Best wishes,
    T.

  4. Dear T,

We do not have any open courses planned in Portsmouth at the moment. However, Paul Grantham can deliver any topic as an in-house training anywhere in the country (and abroad!).
Only this week he is visiting all three countries of Great Britain - Wales, England and Scotland. :-)

So - please contact us at info@skillsdevelopment.co.uk if you want him to come to your organisation.

  5. Hi Paul,

Thanks for the information, MI is something I really use a lot in my work and I find it a incredibly valuable tool, especially within the addiction field.

The organisation I am working for in running every year an annual lecture and for this year we have Steve Rollnick doing the lecture, revising 20 years of MI.

Would you be interested in coming?

The attendance is for free, but you need to confirm your attendance, as the spaces are limited.
The lecture is in Cardiff, in Cardiff Bay, on the 26th of June 2012, starting from 5.30pm.

Let me know if you are interested in coming and I will send you the invitation to the lecture.

On that note, I was thinking, have you ever thought of running your workshops also in Cardiff/ Wales? I think there would be an interest.

    Kind Regards,

    L.

About this Blog

This is our first attempt to join the exciting world of blogging and bring to you all the fresh and hot news about the world of psychology and, of course, about your favourite training company. This is our new enterprise and we are finding our way in this mysterious world of blogging cautiously (but surely...) :-)
We are hoping to move our popular SDS Delegate Debate into this blogging format in the future and looking forward to lively discussions here with you. We are planning to start with publishing already existing SDS Delegate Debates — with comments received from you. Then we'll move to the current news as well as will run new delegate debates there.
Feel free to leave comments to any of the posts — whether they are old debates, the news or new debates. As you can guess — every blogger loves his readers and LIVES for the comments. :-) We are just the same. You don’t need to register in order to be able to comment. You can leave your feedback as “Anonymous”, however, may we ask you to sign you name (or nick) at the end of your comment (even if you are commenting without logging in) so that we know how to address you.
Another useful tool that SDS Blog provides us with is availability of Polls that enable us to find out your views about various subjects. Polls are located on the left panel of the page and updated regularly. Please feel free to vote. You can see the results of each poll by clicking the button "Results".
If you wish to register — nothing can be easier — you just open a Google account — most of you, surely, already use one.
Your comments are read by SDS Consultants regularly and — in many cases — replied to.
The blog is moderated — mainly to protect you and other readers from spam and irrelevant comments.
All posts are tagged — hopefully it'll help you to find your way around there.
Wish us luck and please join the list of our followers.
